September 2019
North Texas Giving Day - September 19, 2019
 
NEW DAY is participating in this year’s North Texas Giving Day campaign. Our 2019 goal is to raise $25,000. Please go to northtexasgivingday.org and look for the "Find Organizations" box in the top right hand corner of the page. Search for NEW DAY and donate. It’s easy.
 
Donations made between 6:00 am to 10:00 am on Giving Day, 9/19, will help NEW DAY become eligible for additional bonus money from the City's Arlington Tomorrow Foundation.
 
Thank you for helping NEW DAY provide weekend food bags to Arlington Independent School District students who are food insecure.

​June 2019
Arlington Great Southwest Rotary Club donated 750 snack bags for distribution to hungry kids in Arlington schools this Fall. 

May 2019
Women Inspiring Philanthropy granted $50,000 over the next two years to increase the number of bags of food delivered to schools weekly and to identify, recruit and develop a fourth distribution site. Plans are underway to develop the new site within the next twelve months. Locations in east Arlington are presently being assessed.

September 2018
After Board members participated in a Spring Creek BBQ Spirit night event, the corporate office presented NEW DAY with a donation of $1,400.

June 2018
NEW DAY ended the school year serving 695 students a week at 39 schools, or 51% of all of the campuses in the Arlington ISD.

Spring 2018
Each NEW DAY distribution center held a food drive which resulted in over 5,000 individual food items collected.

February 2018
For the third year, the Arlington Women's Club purchased and prepared 300 bags of food for AISD students. The Club will once again help NEW DAY Spring 2019.

December 12, 2017
The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation granted $50,000 to help NEW DAY reach its goal of preparing and distributing 700  bags of food weekly.

October 1, 2017
The Presbyterian Synod of the Sun granted $1,000 to NEW DAY to support an increasing number of hungry students in the Arlington school district.

June 1, 2017
NEW DAY added a way you can help feed hungry children by enrolling in Kroger's Community Rewards Program. To participate, create a digital account at www.kroger.com. You may also enroll by downloading the Kroger mobile application from the appropriate app store. Once the digital account is created and linked to your Kroger card, select NEW DAY from the list of approved community organizations. NEW DAY will then receive a portion of all of your store purchases as a donation from Kroger.

March 26-April 9, 2017
SPRING FOOD DRIVE! Use the shopping guide on the Donate page to purchase food for hungry students. Bring food and plastic bags to either Grace Presbyterian Church at 5500 Mansfield Road or Westminster Presbyterian Church at 1330 South Fielder Road in Arlington, Texas and we will deliver the food to students at 32 schools.

January 28, 2017
The Welcome Table Christian Church in Arlington purchased food for 275 bags. Members packed the bags and delivered them to NEW DAY.

January 3, 2017
The Fort Worth Foundation granted $10,000 to NEW DAY to expand the feeding program. The foundation was created to support local organizations in Ft. Worth and the North Texas area that feed the hungry and improve the lives of homeless residents.

November 16, 2016
NEW DAY volunteers highlighted in the Shorthorn, UT Arlington's campus newspaper.

October 21, 2016
The Presbyterian Synod of the Sun presented NEW DAY with a check for $750 at its IMAGINE2016, a celebration of the missions happening in congregations and presbyteries. The gift was for the video featured in the Photo Gallery section of this website.

October 19, 2016
Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation awarded $10,000 to NEW DAY. Board members joined Sprouts store staff at a table in the Arlington store as a part of the Foundation's launch of the 2016 round of grants. Approximately $1.6 million was distributed nationally by the Foundation this round. NEW DAY was one of six Texas community service organizations recognized by the Foundation. NBC Channel 5 highlighted the grant in its Tell Me Something Good segment.

October 12, 2016
The Presbyterian Synod of the Sun granted $5,000 to NEW DAY to recognize the work the organization is doing to feed hungry students in the Arlington Independent School District. Three local Presbyterian churches support the feeding program: Grace and Westminster in Arlington and West Fork in Grand Prairie.
